Phoebe's friend gave her a little note via her class mail box. I'm happy to know that my girl is a kind and caring friend! Thank God for moulding Phoebe :)

First Day of 2013

On the first day of 2013, where did we go? While everyone's having the hangover after a night of partying, anticipating the arrival of 2013, our family flew to the Jurong Bird Park early in the morning (all because we have papa's company pass).

After some tough walking, up and down the slopes looking at all the birds, which looked almost the same to me, we decided to just park ourselves at the kids play area and let the children splash about under the scorching sun. I think I still prefer the Singapore Zoo though :)

My Little Helper

Reuben recently likes to help aunty to clean the things in the house ; sometimes using a wet rag to wipe the table and sometimes the floor too. He just finds it fun and we do not stop him because I think it will be good that he learns to help out in household work in future, whether in our home or his future marital home. Then he can help his future wife to shoulder the domestic responsibility. I think his future wife will thank me for teaching his husband well! Heehee :)

Punggol My Waterway

The kiddies love to play with water and these days, there are many places which offer
water play. One of the nearer places is Punggol My Waterway.

It was my first visit to that place, and the children's second time there. They had fun running around the sprays of water. I was kind of afraid that they might fall as the ground felt a little slimy and slippery maybe due to the growth of moss. I thought the rough ground needed a good scrap! Nevertheless, the children love the cool water spraying on their body on a warm evening.

After about an hour of playing, it was about 7 pm and the sky was turning dark. The children changed into dry clothes and we headed for dinner. Simple and cost-free pleasures! :)

Rb's First Day of School

Today's the first day of school for little boy. He woke up fresh and smiley. He remembered that today's Friday and they need to be in PE attire :) I brought him to school and he reminded me to pick him up after school. No tears or whine, just smiles and anticipation :) I prayed for him before he went into school eagerly. That's my little boy, so proud of him! :)

I saw his previous teacher, Ms Seet. Ms Seet gave lil boy a regular-sized Red Space Angry Bird! That was what we had missed out from the Changi Airport AB promotion! Lil boy had long wanted it. When he saw Ms Seet's present, he was very thrilled. He hugged his Red Space AB and laughed :) Thank you Ms Seet for making Reuben's day and thank God for His favor upon the lil boy :)

My Mommy's a Teacher

You never know how much your child admires you until he/she tells that to his/her friend proudly. That's what Pb did when she related her mother's profession to her friends. I also witnessed her coming close to me to hug me whenever I run Sunday School activities, be it games or teaching. She would hug me and say proudly to her Sunday School friends, "This is my MOMMY!" I can see her eyes beaming with pride.

Just this evening, she wrote 4 letters to her friends because her teacher has set up a postbox in her classroom to encourage the girls to write liberally. I saw that in her letter, she again mentioned that her mother is a teacher to one of her friends and she asked her friend what her mother was working as.

I thank God that my girl is proud of me and I pray that my bond with my little girl will grow stronger each day :)

Second Day of School

Today's the second day of school for Pb and still no school for Rb. I woke up early in the morning to pray for her, give her moral support and chit chat with her as i watch her getting ready for school. Her papa would drive her to school daily and I would pick her up at dismissal. This arrangement was only made possible because my school was understanding and kind. I thank God for His wonderful plan for Pb :)

A Primary 2 Girl & A K1 Boy

The December school holidays are over and school's starting today for Pb and Friday for Rb! I'm so excited for Pb, she's going to be in Primary 2 this year. This evening, after we have returned home from the 2013 New Year dinner with the grands and yiyi, I was busy labelling all her things while Pb and Rb were getting ready to sleep at 10.30 p.m. I felt so happy and excited for them. My little girl and boy are no longer the youngest in the school. Before they fell asleep just now, I prayed for them, in particularly for Pb. I ask God for giving them favour and wisdom. Most importantly, I thank God for seeing Pb and Rb through 2012 and I will continue to entrust Pb and Rb into His hands in 2013. To Him, I put my faith! :)
