Perth Australia Holiday June 2013

We really love Australia, it's clean and relatively safe. This June, we spent 8 days in Margaret River and Perth City, 11-18 June 2013. The children loved the farmstay. We wish the whole trip was longer :)
3 families + 7 adults + 7 children = Massive movement = A whole lot of FUN! :)
On the car ride to Bunbury.
The sky is always bluier on the other side...

Our white Toyota Camry.
This is the farmstay we had booked for 4 nights. Excellent place!

The living Hall was just as clean, spacious and
well-equipped as the rest of the cottage.
Hungry children having their late night supper
on the island in the kitchen.
The children loved the farm activities!
Pb was feeding the alpacas :)
Having a haystack ride on a wheelbarrow.
Little boy feeling cold, but enjoying watching
other children feeding the animals.
Farmer / Uncle Vinnie giving the children the wheelbarrow ride.

Waiting for his chauffeur...

Rb on a RED tractor! His favourite colour.

Fresh eggs we had picked in the morning.
We had yummy scramble eggs the next morning.
Toasting Marshmallow using long twits which we picked on the ground.
Marshmallow has never tasted better!! :)
Trying out the toasty marshmallow. Sweet, soft, hot and sticky!

Rb talking to a free-roaming peacock. I didn't know he speak Bird!

Pb had a little lamb, its fleece was white as snow... well, not exactly! :)

7-week-old hungry lambs, waiting to be fed.

Rb bottle-feeding a little hungry lamb.
From MR, we drove to Augusta to take the Whale-watching cruise.

Beach at Augusta, waiting to board the
whale-watching cruise at the jetty.

Blue sky and sea...

Legend Charters - the cruise that brought us much anticipation to see the whales
and also much anxiety to get onto land as soon as possible! :p

Sighted the whales!!! But we were too groggy to appreciate their magnitude.

The bumpiest boat ride ever!
We all had our fair share of puking, except the smallest!
The smallest was the strongest amongst us all! :)

Drove downwards to see the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse.

The view was scenic as we drove to the stable!
We could not resist but stopped along the way to snap some pictures.

Busy feet running, dry leaves rustling...

Seven children posing... laughter we were hearing!

Seven children spotted an authentic tree house
in Jester Flat Horseriding Stable!

Jockey Rb on his pony, Jonath.

Jockey Pb on her Creamy. She had a 1.5-hour horse ride trail.

Rb on Jonath, the little pony. I led him for an hour
and Pb led him for another 15 mins.
We went to Voyager Estate for a nice and expensive lunch.
Such a classy 'atas' place, speaking loudly would be deemed as a sin!

Oooh!! 'Atas' sparkling juice so very nice...

After the lunch, we roamed around the beautiful place.
We seemed to be the only human beings there.
The children lined themselves on the carpet grass and literally rolled down the slope.
There's only one word to describe them - carefree!

Not exactly flower-blooming season because
it was winter but this red flower looked
especially brilliant with its sweet companion.

With grass so nice, Mr Clean was not afraid to lay his little body on...

Playing with shadows... and we're definitely not too old to do that!
Meeting the natives in Caversham Wildlife Park.

Witnessing a Sheep-shearing performance.
Now we know that cracking a whip was really loud!

Feeding the free-roaming kangaroos with free flow pellets.
Be careful not to step on the free-littered landmines (poo) on the ground.

Making friends with the natives.

Rb's way of activating his fond memories -
Uncle Vinnie running and pulling the wheelbarrow with himself and other children on it.

Another of Rb's expression -
Playing Fetch with the very friendly, obedient and playful Dexter :)

In Perth City, we stayed in Ridges Hotel along Hay Street.
On a 30-minute train ride (seemingly MRT) to Fremantle :)
Rb looking very bored. Mommy looking very clownish, trying to entertain him!

Getting some cheap souvenirs in E shed market.
Mommy and Pb, with her new talking (echoing) toy - Kathleen the Kangaroo.
Having a snack, chocolate-coated banana and chocolate-coated marshmallow.
Going to Cicerello for a lunch of Fish and Chips
and Clam Chowder for the adults
and Seafood Pasta for the children.
Love this Somersby apple cider.
The pager beeped when our food was ready,
the obsolete pager getting a new life!

After lunch near Cicerellos. Taking a picture at the dock.

Rb with his new toys, the Boxing Kangaroos - Biggin Red and Biggin Blue.
Walking around Fremantle Market.
Both 2 rubbery twisty heads - make any expressions with them!
This is how a Didgeridoo looks like. It's an aboriginal instrument.
Rb happy with his new Lightening McQueen Beanie and his new boxers.

Rb trying out on the Reverse Bungee Jump. He loves it! Pb loves it too!!

At a playground near Fremantle Hotel.

Passing by Swan Bells as we walked to the jetty
to take a ferry to Perth Zoo.

More animals... children never get tired of them!

Dingo, the Australian dog, not a wolf.

Shopping along Murray Street, way too many souvenir shops!
Snap a picture at London Court.

In the home-bound flight, Pb and Rb enjoying their
kiddy meals and in-flight entertainment.

Special headphones for small headed people :) So peaceful...

Farewell, my beautiful Aussie sky. We shall meet again some day...
