Rb's Ninjago Story Book

Modelling after Pb's interest in writing, Rb decided to create a story on his latest interest, Ninjago :) He came up with the story line and we helped him with the spelling of some of the words. As I had to help him with the drawing, I told him that he had to mention my name as an illustrator, which he obediently wrote without any protest :) So here it is, I present to you, Reuben's longest story ever, a 7-paged Ninjago Picture Book. Enjoy reading!! :)

Pb's First PowerPoint Slides

Pb did this PowerPoint slides by herself at home this afternoon. She said her school had given her an ICT lesson on PowerPoint. :) She happily showed me the slides (in slides mode) when I got home just now. It was such a pleasant surprise!! :) I like the part where she talks about her Dad - Play handphone and eat junk food!! Hahaha ! :) She's such a funny girl :)

There were lots of error (Grammar, Spelling and typo) but I thought they're quite minor mistakes and they can be fine tuned. I'm happy that she's able to create a coherent story and use the functions of the PowerPoint programme :) Praise God!! :)

* I must teach her how to use real family photos!! :)

Preparing for Checkpoints

Tomorrow is Phoebe's Chinese check point. Working hard in her Chinese revision. All activities have to be scaled down for these 2 days... God BLESS her with super memory to remember all the 生字 that she had learnt and may the Holy Spirit be her Counsellor during her revision and actual seating, so that she will not make careless mistakes and will be able to understand what she is reading during the test. Thank God for His mercy upon Phoebe. Amen! :)

Iron Man Craze Continues...

He has the mask, the costume, the figurines, the hand gadget, the water bottle, the sandals and now, to add on to his collection, a pair of pyjamas too!! My goodness, are we over indulging in him? Or had papa a deprived childhood? I think it's the latter :) haha! :)

Dr Reuben Ong

Rb's school is teaching the children on occupation for this term. They have fun in role play and Rb got a chance to pretend to be a doctor. The children also addressed him as Doctor Ong. Pre-school is really fun! I can see that the children are happy everyday and the teachers are passionate about teaching the children. Praise God for the wonderful teachers in SKMCC!! :)

Iron Patriot

Rb was delighted to receive the Iron Patriot figurine doll from Gong gong. Gong gong is really great!! He really loves the 2 children, always buying things and food/snacks for them. I pray that when Pb and Rb grow up , they will be filial and remember their grandparents' kindness and love for them!! :) Thank God for Gong gong!! :)

Will This Be Me?

This video is really hilarious! Gives me a good laugh early in the morning!! :)

To think of it, will I become like this? :p oh dear :) I guess I have to leave my children up to God every day and seek Him to provide the best for my Children!! In Him I trust! Amen! :)

Rock Climbing Experience

Last Saturday, we signed up the children for a rock climbing session. It was Reuben's first time trying out and Phoebe's second. Rb was an enthusiast at first. He was all ready to climb like Spider Man, overly confident. Then when he took his first climb, he literally sprawled vertically, clinging on to the artificial rocks for dear life! He managed to crawl upwards but did not make it for more than 1-third of the wall before requesting to be carried down. Pb, on the other hand, was a crouching Spider Girl. She made it all the way to the top and abseil confidently.

I guess both of them are v different and they have different niches. Rb has better ball sense while Pb is better in rock climbing and dance. Praise God for His diversity!! :)

Straw Earrings

Innovative? Haha. When I was a teenager, my classmates and I used to fold such straw flowers in MacDonald's. Last Sunday after her ballet class, we were caught in a heavy down pour. Although we did drive to the Anchorvale Sports and Recreational Club, we did not have any umbrella with us to tie us through the distance between MacDonald's and the car. So we decided to get Pb a chocolate milkshake and sat down to wait. We try not to give them the gadgets hence I thought of teaching them how to make the straw flower. It was a little too difficult for their level. Nevertheless, we had fun and out of fun generates creativity and innovation ;) my girl loves her straw earrings v much :)
