Little Helpers

Today's the first day without Aunty Nia as she gone home for 3 weeks of home leave. Pb said she wants to learn to cook porridge. I think she's ready :)

Ingredients : rice, broccoli, carrot, threadfin, egg and light sauce

End product, the porridge looks yummy! :) Well done Phoebe! :)

Rb, on the other hand, helps in simpler chores such as hanging clothes. He did a fine job!! :)

He clipped the clips on his shirt coz he said it's easier for him to get access to it to clip the clothes.
My 2 wonderful little helpers :)

School Life

It was after their SA2 and PSLE. The P6 girls organized a fund raising (for an aged home) fun fair for the school. What a meaningful event which benefited everyone! Pb was in action playing some games in a P6 classroom. She had a good time and her teacher, Mr Chong, was v kind to take pictures and "what's app" us parents :) God's reign upon the school! :)

Last Session of Violin Class

Time past so fast, after 11 months, this group of young violinists are graduating from their preparatory class soon. Today is their last lesson. Thank you soooo much to Zhong Lao Shi for her patience, encouragement and dedication in teaching the children. We are very blessed to have her as our teacher! Next week, these little ones will be having their exams, all the very very best to everyone of them. I will miss all the fun sessions learning violin with the children. 非常感激您用心和耐心的教导!有缘再见!

Name Beads Keychain

Pb and Rb had made a name bead keychain at a Disney shop in NEX. It was very expensive, about $6 per keychain! I saw Tao Bao selling the beads and I decided to order them for the children to create their own keychains for themselves and their friends. I took out the beads for Pb to play with immediately after her SA2 was over. Rb did not really have that patient for it but Pb loved it. She immediately got on task to create name keychains for her classmates. She didn't even make any one for herself. I'm glad that she had put others before herself. God is great! :)

Miss Seet

So fast! Rb has finally completed his Pre school education. His next milestone is about to begin. His first pre school teacher in SKMCC gave him a handmade graduation note book. I was so touched by her gesture when I saw the notebook. This wonderful teacher, Mrs Jane Ho, or rather, we still fondly refer her as Miss Seet in our own private family chats, the one who gave Rb a red angry bird plush toy in the beginning of K1, the one who said that "Rb is awesome!" (her exact words) when I asked for her feedback during dismissal at the gate, did not forget about Rb even though he was no longer under her tutelage. I will never forget her, this teacher, who has been firm but assuring to the children, who comforted Rb when he cried on his first few days of school. Thank you Miss Seet! Thank you for your love and confidence in Rb! God bless you with overflowing love for the children and joy in building these little minds up. I want to use the same exact words back to you, "Ms Seet is Awesome!" :)

Can you sense the love she has for the children? So much effort put in to create this notebook!! So neat and unique! So precious!! :)

P1 Orientation

Rb just had his P1 Orientation. Our whole family went along to show support and Pb's school happened to have Results Processing Day. I must say that I was rather impressed with the grandeur of school campus and the speech fluency of the principal. Rb met his form teacher, Ms K.... Th.. Ms Th seemed more real and down to earth. She seemed firm as Rb told me that she reprimanded the boys who leaped from a few steps of the staircase. I would pray for good teachers
for both Pb and Rb.

We ended the orientation by buying the P1 staple school supplies and the children played at the outdoor playground. I wondered if the teacher had any hard time beckoning the boys to assemble after recess!! Haha :)

Rb's violin friend happens to be in the same school! :)

Simple Pleasures

Today is the last day of Pb's exam. She had her Science paper in the morning. I wanted to give her a treat to reward her for working very hard. I thought of Swenson's Jap food etc but guess what she wanted to eat?? Chicken Rice with breast meat and no skin!! Hahaha 😄😄 So simple, so healthy!! 😄😄 Precious gem!

For afternoon snack, she wanted the simple McDonald's Sundae ice cream. No frills , no gimmicks and no greed! God bless this little girl with long lasting childlikeness !! Amen! :)

Abby at 11 months

Abby is almost turning into an adult soon but she still has a baby face :) Next Saturday, we will be taking her to the vet for sterilization. Hope that everything will turn out well for her and she will be less territorial. :)

Father and Daughter Worship Team

Papa had been learning the guitar from "Believer Music" for almost 2 terms. On last Friday, it was my worship duty and I encouraged him to try playing his guitar for the cell. After some cajoling, he agreed and picked 3 of te songs that he was more familiar with. Pb decided to practise with papa (coz she wanted to delay her revision time for her Science exam... Heehee). I thought it was a beautiful sight with father and daughter worship God together...

Watch them singing in You-Tube and watch Rb providing some comic relief with Abby at the background! Rb said after the worship, "Mommy, almost everyone in the whole family is worshipping God!" Yes! And Amen to that!! :) I pray that our whole family will serve God together, bringing Glory to Him! :)

Momcher (Mommy + Teacher)

These few days, I understand the true meaning of a 陪读妈妈!! When she does papers, I watch her do, I go through the questions with her, explain, convince and conceptualized. In school, I'm the teacher, at home, I'm the Moncher. Getting quite tired and I'm so looking forward to December school holidays!! 我需要放假!!!
