Gong Gong's 73th Birthday

Gong gong had just had a major event in his life. The exact condition, I would not disclose so as to respect his wish. My greatest prayer for him is that he would enjoy his golden years, with the presence of God, good health and the people whom he loved. On the weekend before his birthday, we went for a simple meal together, to rub some joyous children noise and laughter onto him and on his actual birthday, we had a dinner in their place and sang a birthday song to wish him well. I think his greatest pleasure now is to see his grandchildren growing up well and happily. I pray that God will use this opportunity to soften his heart and see the truth. May His kingdom come upon my dad, mom and sis. I waiting to see His joyous victory. Amen!!

Rb loves this series. It's interesting and readable. It's simple detective stories and the sleuth is a girl with photographic memory. It's a simple chapter book with short paragraphs and parallel pictures, good for emerging readers like Rb! :)

Transformation of Self

It's scary what make up can do to a person!! So when I see the stars' photo, I'll think that they actually look v plain and ordinary when they've no make up on!! What a comforting thought!! Haha :)

Teachers' Day

I'm v grateful for the teachers that God has given Pb and Rb. They are really very dedicated. In the beginning of the year, we prayed that the children will get kind Christian teachers because we always feel that if the teacher has the fear of The Lord, he/she will always try their best not to shortchange the children. 

God is great, He answered our prayers and indeed, the children have wonderful teachers who are genuinely kind and concern with the children. Not only that, Pb's teacher even updates the parents weekly on what the girls are doing via email. I know that teachers are v busy people and yet Mr Chong took the trouble to go the extra mile! :)

Truly thank God for these teachers... Just a little gestures for them - a 32Gig thumbdrive and an encouragement stamp each. Practical and useful gifts. Hope the teachers like them!! :)

Adventure in Adventure Cove

This holiday, we didn't have much time to do much coz I was busy with school and rb had to revise her school work and Rb had to spend time practicing his violin and preparing for Primary 1. In addition, we have to run errand and settle the grands. There is really not much time in going for a trip.

Papa took leave and took us to Adventure Cove. We have heard much about it. 

The place was not v big, almost similar to Wild Wild Wet, except that there were a few more attractions. We lost papa after he had gone for an adventure slide which required him to queue for at least 40 mins and there after we were playing the cat and the mouse game, trying to find each other in the not-so-big place. Nevertheless, we did manage to take this family photo together :) 

I have always love these squiggly shaped pens, can't resist not buying one for myself though I should be more mature having lived for close to 4 decades of my life. Somehow the little being in me manifests whenever my feet enter a souvenir shop. This one, from Adventure Cove :) and my collection will continue...

We have missed the snorkeling section and the children were a little upset about it. Thus, we shall visit this place again... Probably at the end of the year! :)

Dads for Life

Dad for Life Father and Child Challenge, made all the more meaningful with Pb's school participating as a group! I pray that God will continue to build our family up so that the children will grow up in a loving and secured environment. Help us as parents to be good role models and help us to be a shiny testimony to all around us. Help us to do you proud God, let your wisdom and favour to continue to shine upon us. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen!
