Merci Teachers, Merci!

Good teachers are really hard to come by. I'm thankful that God has always provided my children with good teachers. The year is coming to an end. Just want to give the teachers of my children small tokens to show my appreciation. Merci teachers, thank you from the bottom of my heart! ❤️

Reminiscing the Days

FB has reminded me of this video taken 6 years ago. Really love her confidence and commitment in presenting her best :) As always, days creep by slowly, weeks zoom and years fly! My little girl is maturing, in his grace. Since she was conceived, God has proven Himself faithful, watching over Pb everyday, keeping His promise that He will love and protect this single-kidney girl all the days of her life. We know that she will be blessed!

Pb's 11th Birthday

It's the exam period so Pb's birthday celebration is really low key this year! We had her fav Ajisen for lunch, then go for Chinese class and then back home for revision. Grandparents bought Pb her favourite Tiramisu cake. It was a simple and quiet birthday, nevertheless a blessed one! We pray that Pb will grow up into a lighthouse for God, and become a tween filled with the Fruit of the Spirit! We love her much!! ๐Ÿ˜
As a yearly practice, we always prepare goody bags for her whole class on her birthday.

This year is much similar, a zippy pencil case and a deco tape which most girls love.

Lunch at her fav Ajisen Ramen

Gong gong and mama also joined us for lunch today.

Happy girl!

We came back home to a nice surprise. Auntie Nia bought a pair of shoes for Pb coz she knew that pb's pair of crocs was worn out!

She bought using her salary, and in Pb's fav colour! What a thoughtful gift!!

Before bedtime, we sang her a birthday song. Gong gong and Mama bought for Pb a nice Tiramisu cake.

Both of them love Tiramisu!

Love my family!!

PLMGS 100 years Collectibles

PL has come a long way and God has proved his faithfulness! For the centurion celebration, the girls were blessed with many collectibles! In fact, over the years, we have been collecting the things the school has blessed the girls. I'm still finding those event-based buttons given by the school. I hope I have not discarded them while moving house! We have set up a display shrine for the lovely momentous souvenirs. They are great for building up school pride and significant school memories! ๐Ÿ˜„

Founder's Day devotion service with Pri and Sec school Choir singing "What a Faithful God have I". Indeed true, Amen!

Old People Like McDonald's too!

By some regulations, I'm seemed not equipped to mark EL Paper 2. Heehee. I don't mind it coz I get to report at 1 pm for day 1! Woohoo! Breakfast with grands this morning! What a privilege! I'm blessed! ๐Ÿ˜„  Who says old people don't like McDonald's! Hahaha ๐Ÿ˜„ The children are so happy to be able to see their beloved grands and also enjoy their favourite breakfast! A good meal at the start of their revision week! Everything will fall in place nicely! Godspeed! ๐Ÿ˜„

Taking bus from school

Yesterday was Pb's first trip on how to take bus home by herself. She was so happy and keep telling me not to tell her the landmarks and let her find out by herself... I was so tickled seeing her juggling her extra bag, handphone, water bottle and bulky school bag all in her hands.

I asked her, "How are you going to scan your ez-link card with so many things in your hand and how are you going to hold the poles?" ๐Ÿ˜

She just gave me a gigglish grin.

To help her assume her independence, I told her we will pretend to be strangers but I couldn't resist dropping hints like : don't put your bag on another seat, press the bell before you alight, take all your things, and the funniest thing is that, she wanted to alight at the front door when she was coming down from the upper deck ๐Ÿ˜„

Oh well! First time taking bus from school "on her own". We shall practice a few more times! ๐Ÿ˜„

The positive thing is that she's so confident and exclaimed that she wants to do it everyday! ๐Ÿ˜… we shall see!

RAD Grade 4 Ballet Exam

I'm thankful that Pb has been consistently achieving Merit for her RAD ballet exam. Since she started learning when she was 3, she has been achieving stellar results in ballet, one distinction and all merit for the rest.

However, Pb has expressed that she'll want to stop her ballet lessons.

Next thread, I'll explain why. To be continued...

Teachers' Day Pressies

We are crazy about sewing since the last workshop we've attended in the June holidays.

http://thetiredmommysdiary.blogspot.sg/2016/06/a-sewing-workshop.html?m=1

Pb planned to make cushion covers for her teachers in PL. It was quite a project coz we took a few days to complete the process:

We went to Spotlight to choose and buy the fabric on Tuesday afternoon. These fabrics were selected after much deliberation because Pb was so choosy about the prints and she wanted to have a reason for each print selected. We also bought the ready-made plain cushions.

On Wed night, we cut the fabric into the desired size. We tried on the new rotary cutter and Pb was not used to it and cut her finger instead. It was a shallow cut though ๐Ÿ˜ phew! So I did the cutting for her.

Last night, she spent quite some time pinning the parts of the fabric and sewing them up. She's not so used to grandma's sewing machine and the strings got tangled several times. I had to step in to assist her a few times...

Finally, viola! The cushion covers were done! In total, she made 3, one for Mrs Ong, her form/ Science/ English tr, one for Miss Goh, her Math tr and one for ๆดช่€ๅธˆ, her Chinese tr.

She told me that : the best part about giving trs the presents is, to see them smile!

Awww... My heart melted when she said that! Thank God for the good values Pb has learnt!

Pre-teachers' Day Shopping

Today, after picking up the 2 little ones from school, we headed down to Plaza Singapura to have a good lunch, before proceeding to Spotlight to buy our materials!

This teachers' day, little girl is going to put what she has learnt into good use ๐Ÿ˜„ ่ฏทๆ‹ญ็›ฎไปฅๅพ…!

Be patient and mark this page!
