I pick my children up from school everyday between 1.00-2.30 pm. Usually in the car, I'll bond with my kids and one of the questions I'll ask is what they eat in school that day. Yesterday, pb asked me what I eat for lunch. I replied that I don't really have proper lunch coz I need to pick them and I eat when I have free periods. On hearing this, today, pb went to her school canteen and bought me a slice of butter cake. She said : mommy this is for you, in case you've no free time to eat. 😍 This is the tastiest Butter Cake I've ever eaten!! 😍

All Pets and Aqualife Clinic
Abby had developed some small red spots on her neck and body again, second time after her first episode about 6 months ago. Initially we suspected her food thus we switched her food and she was on the medicated bath wash. Recently her medicated bath wash has depleted and we reverted back to her Korean shampoo. That's when her spots appear again hence we suspect she could be allergic to the Korean shampoo! Haha.
We took Abby to her regular vet, Dr Jessie Wong. She's v friendly and I can feel her skillfulness in handling Abby. Abby was given a jab and some quarter pills. She'll be fit and well again. Thank you Dr Wong!! :)
Rb is v interested to help coz he said he wants to be a vet when he grows up! :)
Sniffing around the new place, All Pets and Aqualife clinic has just relocated to Jalan Kelutut. It's better, more spacious , newer and has proper parking lots available! :) Abby likes the place.

Singapore Local Writers
Singapore has many talented local writers who have produced many titles based on local context such as Robozonic Pebble, Ellie Belly, Dairy of Amos Lee, Extraordinary Losers, Girl Overboard, Whoopie Lee, Sherlock Sam, Danger Dan etc. These are some of the titles that my children have read and enjoyed. They are easier for our young readers to relate to due to their familiarity. Popular is having an Expo sale, do support our local writers. 😄
People asked,
"Why choose local writers and their publication?"
1) setting is familiar, thus does not impede the understanding of story
2) plot is pitched at our local kids' level, not too adult-liked (adult content)
3) word choice used is less worrying for parents as they are free from vulgarities / less swearing
4) learning more about our racial culture differences and Singapore history
5) it's uniquely Singapore publication, we should support our writing scene 😄
Pb P4 Camp Booklet
I love the camp booklet, I thought the programme was well-thought of and it also gives the girls a chance to reflect. It was really great! :)
