Voices of Singapore Festival 2016

The last time Pb's choir performed in Victoria Concert Hall last year, papa couldn't attend because only 1 ticket was given by the school. However, this time round in Voices of Singapore, parents are invited to go and I encouraged papa to go, to watch and support pb's choir. I was unable to go coz I had to accompany gong gong for his lymphatic growth check up. Papa had a great time admiring the angels singing. It was his first time listening to Pb's choir and he was deeply impressed! He said that they sounded like angels singing! Heehee 😄😄😄

Catching up in March Holidays

Term 1, flashed, gone! Both pb and rb had SYF PRACTICES in March holiday and we hardly had any time for revision and closing up learning gaps in Term 1. On Wed, while Rb was having his String Orchestra CCA, I told pb to come along with me so that we can do holiday homework and  revision together. Pb's an obedient girl and she obliged willingly. even though it was just revising of school work, we love to spend such "us" time together :)

The Story of Claypot Rice

When I was young, my dad often take us to Chinatown to enjoy a meal of Claypot rice. Now, it's my turn to return the treat. Somehow, the Claypot rice does not taste as nice as before, but we still enjoy ourselves v much. It must be the bonding that made the food taste better. Have you given your parents a treat recently? If you haven't, please do so. Cherish them when they're still around.

2016 Sentosa Kids Flea Market

It was an excellent learning opportunity for Pb and Rb. From this experience, Pb and Rb has learnt some skills in handling the customers, especially Pb. When a customer gave a big note when he/she has bought something, I see her trying to encourage the customer to buy some more so that she can clear her goods, and to reduce the change that she needed to return. I also see my kids having more confident in speaking to people and going around to sell their things, not just restricting to the stall. They ventured out in groups or pairs and approached friendly customers with politeness. They also learnt how to promote their merchandise and they also discovered the importance of learning Chinese coz many customers were Mandarin speakers!!!! Next year, we shall do this again!

Setting up stall.

Linda's children and niece/nephew came to help out :)
