Remembering Barney Days

I realised that I'm quite familiar with Barney songs all thanks to the days bonding over DVDs with my kids when they were much younger :) I chanced upon this today :) it was Rb's fav Barney episode. It's so fast that my children are growing up. Mixed feelings!! 😄😣

My Sensible Daughter

Although Pb is not an A grade pupil, I thank God that she's obedient and obliging. Her school has not started exam yet, that would imply that other school pupils can enjoy themselves earlier while she has to carry on slogging. However, yesterday she told me that, "It's ok. It means that we have more time to prepare." I was pleasantly surprised by her words. Thank God for a sensible daughter!!!

A Trip to The Istana

Today is Deepavali holiday. Pb remained at home to do revision with me while Rb went to The Istana with papa and the Hans. Pb was very obedient and she didn't kick up a big fuss though she was very disappointed. Although Pb has been quite consistent in her work, it's important to bring across the message that it is the responsibility of a pupil to put in her best in all that she does. I'm glad Pb is understanding and mature. Praise God.

Giving Pb her favourite breakfast before working hard on her revision :)

Pb working hard, even till night time. Indeed a conscientious girl. Love her soooo much!! :)

Goody Bags for Sweet Little Girls

Pb's birthday is coming!! We are all so excited about it! I'm someone who loves parties and organising one. Our children are very precious to us, we always thank God for blessing us with these two precious gifts!

Pb is a good-natured girl. Although she may be layback and needs some nudging in her learning, she's obedient and obliging since young. She also knows how to behave herself when needed and weighs her words carefully before she speaks. She may not get tip top grades but she puts in effort in learning. Just like her name with a "Xin" (heart), Pb is also a girl with a kind and compassionate heart. She often thinks for her parents and watches out for her brother. What more can I ask for a daughter? I truly thank God for giving us such a sweet daughter. She's a perfect gift and we pray that God will continue to watch over her, all the days of her life!

I love to bless others with little gifts to thank them for being friendly and kind to my children. For this year's goody bags, I bought most of the items from Taobao. I designed the "thank you" tags and Pb helped me in the packing. It was also a good bonding opportunity for mother and daughter. I hope that Pb's classmates will like the goody bags we have prepared for them. God bless the teachers and classmates! :)

Rb's K2 Graduation Concert Part 2

I must conclude that this year's graduation concert was rather special because the church had also tried to engage the parents and children in some fun and bonding activities. Booths were set up to allow families to dress up as different characters for free photography. Everyone was also given free popcorns and candy floss. The meaningful preschool graduation concert had double up as a family carnival! What a brilliant idea!! God bless these wonderful volunteers!! :)

Rev Lek, our wonderful pastor!! God bless this man and his family!! :)

Rb's K2 Graduation Concert Part 1

The graduation concert marked the completion of Rb's K2 education. In a few weeks' time, Rb will transit from Preschool to formal Primary School. I'm grateful to SKMCC for nurturing both my children. I can see God's hands anointing the staff and children in the school. I pray that God will continue to use this school as a platform to bring more people into His kingdom. :)

Rb's class presented the story of Zaacheus and a dance. He was part of the crowd. I love the rap music of the dance. For the graduation song, the graduands sang "Yesterday Dream". It was a v meaningful song. As always, I was impressed with the concert though I wish it was longer :)

Little boy was at all smiles. It was his day after all! He did his item with pride and confidence. He danced rhythmically. He was simply awesome. We are so proud of him.

I pray that this little boy will continue walking closely with God, allowing The Potter to work in his life, continue in moulding his character to His standards! Let God reigns!! Amen!! :)

We are so glad that mama and gong gong could grace the occasion this year! :)

Aunty Becky and Aunty Pei Pei were the emcees for the concert :)

We are so proud of our little graduand! :)

The awesome staff of SKMCC!! :)
