Coming Soon!

Last week, I've practised making Tiramisu cake for Pb's upcoming birthday. She wants to invite a few girls in her class. I've been planning and thinking about the deco, food, her friends list, invitation cards etc.

Back to the cake, it looks n taste ok, just a little too small. I shall make it bigger, with a bit of green tea powder for the grass etc. Will practise again. Keep this page!! :)

Children Ministry T-Shirt

I love this new SKMC Children Ministry t-shirt. It's meaningful and the orange reminds me of dear SKMCC :) best still, to wear it with my two precious ones, that makes me happiest :)

Wonderful Teacher and Friends

When Pb was hospitalized, she missed 2 days of school. I've informed her form teacher and she immediately responded, saying that she would pray for her. She asked for Pb's ward. The next day after school, she wanted to visit Pb in the hospital but I told her that she'll be discharged the very same day. She broke out in thanksgiving to God upon knowing that Pb was well enough to be discharged.

When Pb went back to school, her teacher and friends gave her cards. Apparently, her teacher has activated all the pupils  to pray for Pb in class. And they also made the cards in class. Such wonderful gesture. Such kindness and love! I'm v thankful that Pb has such a wonderful teacher for her early years in Primary school. School is not just about academic excellence. It's also about learning to care for others, showing compassion and concern. I think Pb's teacher has done a marvellous job in teaching the girls well!  I praise God for giving Pb such a loving teacher and His Grace upon Pb!

Graduation from Phonics

After almost 1.5 years of Phonics lessons, Rb has finally graduated! Now, he's able to read quite a few words but he still likes to depend on us to read to him. We have to work on his independence to read now so that he will grow up into a passionate reader, just like Pb :) Thank you God :)

Let's reminisce his early days of word blending :)

Art for Rb

I realised that I have not blog about Rb's art lesson. He has been taking art lessons in the Anchorvale CC. So far, we can happy with his progress. I think he does have a little talent in this field. He has completed one term and we've decided to let him continue for the next term. Here are some drawings done by Rb to show his art progress. Now Jonas also joins him. The two boys had an episode of mischief which led to major interrogation, serious confession and massive reprimanding.  Go guess what happened and I'll tell the story in the next entry.

With a Thankful Heart

I just love to send and pick them to and from school everyday. Thank you God.

His heart is that all will know Him and grow in His faith. You think that he and she can't get into the school that is reign by God? You doubt? This is what I've read tonight :

In everything, give thanks first, even when it hasn't rain.

Our God is a God that controls the universe.

He is a lot more interested in getting His job done than you and I. He has all the power to do it and it is our business to obey.

We only need to be obedient, commited, pray and wait.

I will, God. All eggs in Your care.

Pb's Hospitalization Episode

Our trip to Bangkok was terminated prematurely by 3 hours when I received a message from Yiyi that Pb had been given a referral letter by the GP in North East Medical Centre to be admitted into KK hospital on the account of suspicion for appendicitis. We were the midst of having our wide spread of buffet breakfast. I immediately told papa that we need to pack our things to go airport to catch the next possible flight home IF there were any   vacancies back.

We reached the airport at about 12 noon BKK time, hoping to catch the 3.30 pm flight, 3 hours ahead of our original flight. We approached the staff for help. Upon heaing our plight and seeing me fighting back my tears, the Thai SQ supervisor revealed that there was only one vacancy at the moment. However he promised to put Ck on the highest priority of the waiting list. God is faithful. We finally got another tix back despite the fact that the plane was was oversold by 6 seats.

When we touched down, we immediately dropped our luggages at home, showered and rushed to the hospital. I was heartached to see Pb on a drip but she was braver than I'd expected. My mom and Dad said that she didn't shed a tear when she has administered a suppository to stop her vomitting and fever nor when she was inserted with a tube on her right hand for her drip. The doctor had withdrawn a tube of her blood and collected her urine sample for diagnosis of appendicitis and possibly urinary tract infection.

After the laboratory test, once again, God has prevailed His Grace upon our family. Both suspicion were ruled out. And in the meantime, pb's vomiting and fever had subsided. In fact, she was enjoying her stay, fixing her eyes on the TV. I stayed with her over the night. The next day, as she was able to eat and drink, her drip was removed. The doctor concluded her ailment was gastroenteritis, also commonly known as stomach flu. She was all well and was discharged at 5 pm that same day. Praise be to God and all Glory to Him.

With that, pb's episode on her hospitalisation, which she said it was a hotel stay, ended. Phew! :) God is great!!

PL Dental Services

One of Pb's incisor teeth was wobbly but it stubbornly refused to drop. It was an eye sore as it was jutting out because the adult tooth was already partially out, pushing the wobbly milk tooth outwards like an elephant tusk! Hence, I made an appointment with the school dental nurse and brought Pb to her straight after school. The dental nurse was very assuring and experienced. In less than 3 seconds, the tooth was extracted! I was very impressed. Wonderful service too!! :)

Gong Gong's 72th Birthday

Gong gong's birthday falls on 22 September. However, he will be going to Malacca for a 2D1N trip on that date, hence we decided to celebrate his lunar birthday, which happened to coincide with Teachers' Day this year :) We went to our usual "zhee char" restaurant for a simple and delectable dinner before proceeding to their home to cut cake. The children made a card each for their beloved grandfather - not top notch Cards but they manifest their love for him. We love this grandpapa and pray that he'll also be able to experience and accept God's love for him. We want to bless him with good health and joyful golden days ahead!! :)
