I Miss Mrs Wishy-Washy

God is faithful and just. On Tuesday, I just found out that the motorcyclist had made an honest report and we were able to get our Wish repaired, claiming from his insurance. I'm thankful for the motorcyclist's honesty and integrity. I'm even more thankful for God's protection and mercy upon all of us. Finally, tomorrow, we are able to return the smelly courtesy (replacement) car and get back our Wish again! How I miss her cleanliness and her size!! :) See you soon, my dear Mrs Wishy-Washy! :)

Independent Avid Reader

One of my prayers for my children is that they'll grow into independent avid readers. I'm thankful to see my prayer being answered for Pb. She loves reading and has started reading on her own in K2, before entering P1.

Now in K2, I'm also training Rb to become an independent reader too. We borrowed "Bones", the boy version of "Cam Jansen", who was a child detective. Pb used to love Cam Jansen and her mysterious, so I presumed that Rb would also love books of that same genre.

There are eight books in the "Bones" series, written by David Adler, the same author as "Cam Jansen". Last night, I've read the first book to Rb and he liked it. This afternoon, I've told him to read the second book silently by himself. There were some words which he didn't know how to pronounce, such as pretended, light, detective and yours. I've read them out for him. On the whole, he could read Book 2 without much problem and was able to tell me the gist of the story. He told me that he would read Book 3 tomorrow.

I'm so looking forward to having my prayer answered again. Thank you God for your faithfulness! :)

Abby

Alright! After much discussion,  we came out with a list of possible names. The suggested Maltese names were:
Abby
Bambi
Minnie
Maisy
Sandy
Mittens
Minty
Candy
I personally love the name Maisy. Reuben likes Candy. Papa likes Mittens and Phoebe likes Abby. We almost wanted to call her "CAMMy", putting the first letters together. However, after much deliberation, we finally decided to call her Abby.

Abby = (A)nnie + phoe(BE).

How brilliant! Haha! We'll bring Abby home during the March holidays :) We already have brought her playpen and water bottle home. It is going to be very exciting!  :)

Mittens the Maltese

After contemplating for a long time and seeing so many puppies, finally, we've decided on this girl :) We'll bring her home on 14 March, one week after her second vaccination :) Tentatively, her name will be Mittens. Why did we choose Mittens over the other cute puppies? That's because she was very responsive to us, or rather, me. She played with me while in her play pen and she also lowered her head for me to pat her. She was very responsive and playful and yet, not barky. For the whole time, I've only heard her barked once. Such a sweet girl. Alright, I will keep you all updated on Mittens!! :)

Crash!

On Friday, as usual I picked Pb from school after school. I was driving along Upper Paya Lebar Road, moving towards the filter lane to Bartley Road when a motorcyclist accidentally ramped onto my back of my Wish as he was checking his blind spot! :(

I was with Pb and because all the motorists had slowed down at the filter lane, hence the impact was not very strong. Thank God that everyone was safe with no injury, including the motorcyclist. We have already filed in our report. Hopefully the motorcyclist will be honest and not tell a lie, claiming that I had cut into his lane instead. God be my witness and let His justice prevail.

Good Things Come in Small Packages

Rb's teacher was not in school today. His principal told him to lead his class into the classroom. The children also took turns to read to the principal. For 2 jobs well done,  little boy received 2 encouragement stickers. So proud of this pint sized boy :)
