Preparation for Piano Exam

Pb will be having her Grade 4 ABRSM examination in the next quarter. I haven't been pushing her at all coz I just want her to play leisurely without stress. I've always told her that ultimately, mommy hopes that she can play in the church for God, not to award chase. However, she still has to put in her best. Hopefully she can improve more, especially in the third piece since exam is very near.

Singaporean Youth and Children's Voices

I love public performance for my children, not for the fame or limelight. It's the invaluable experience, the development of a passion / dedication and the cultivation of a discipline that matter the most. Community presentation like this also help children to foster teamwork and the spirit of camaraderie. I'm so glad that Pb's school gives the girls opportunities like these to gain knowledge in vocal mastery!  :)

So sad that every girl is only entitled to buy 1 tix!! Papa had to sacrifice to let me watch my beloved singing! :)

Yup! It's free seating! So I came at 5.45 pm though the performance is supposed to start at 7.30 pm. Call me kiasu! Yes I am! :)

Finally seated! Row G12, just right in front of the VIP row. Just realised that the conductor might block me!!! :( sigh... Hope not :(

Off You (Hair) Go!

The week after the ballet exam, it was time to have a hair cut. There's a need to cut off the dry ends of Pb's hair and also give her stressed scalp a break from daily tying. On top of that, pb's going to have her prefects camp soon. Having short hair will be much easier for her to wash and manage during the camp. Having these good solid reasons, I adviced Pb to snip her tresses and she finally relent. To prep her for the shortened length, I searched for pictures of short bobs and this was the one she has selected. The outcome was not exactly the same coz the hairdresser accidentally trimmed the fringe too short but the length of the bob was just nice. Pb had to take a few days to get use to her bob but she didnt cry or whine. She's indeed to good girl!! 

Rb had his usual hair cut to keep his image clean and neat! 😄

Bishan Park Playground

Just last week, we found this fun playground in Bishan Park. Pb and Rb were v excited. Children need the space to run around. They need to have time to study, as well as play! They had lots of fun sliding, climbing, jumping, digging, running! We recommended this place to our friends and yesterday, the 3 families (us included) decided to let the children play together while the adults sat down to have a picnic :) what a nice weekend!
