Read Up Programme

Rb's school library has a Read Up programme initiated by the parent volunteers. The boys get to collect stamps when they read library books and accumulating the points means that they are entitled to select and collect the exclusive ACSJ thematic cards. Rb loves the cards and he is enthusiastic in collecting them. As such, he visits the library everyday to borrow and read books. To encourage him in expanding his collections, I got him a card album and he conscientiously categorized his cards neatly. I'm glad that the school is stepping up to push the boys to read. To encourage them to read Chinese books, the boys get double stamps so that they can attain their thematic cards at a faster rate! That is a strong push factor for Rb to read Chinese books! Hope his interest can be sustained!! :)
