Little Yu Hin was about 5 months 2-3 days old when we visited him last Saturday. He had just gone through a surgery 2-3 weeks back to remove a lump under his left armpit. The lump had developed due to some inaccurate positioning of needle during his BCG vaccination at birth. Poor baby, had to go through surgery at such a young age. *sigh* I can understand the anxiety his parents had experienced. But thank God! He has recovered and the open wound has closed. He is putting on weight and is even heavier than my 6.5 months old Reuben! :) I hope that the lump will not reoccur and he will remind healthy always!

Should make the hospital pay for the bills... my girl also almost went for a surgery to remove a little lump on her head. We decided to wait for her to grow a little older... sigh.

wow so serious ah? inaccurate "poking" also can get lump? yo...if it happens here, hosiptal nurse sure kenna sue...
ya! And the lump developed pus too! Which means it was infected, that's why had to surgically removed...
I dunno... we noticed a little lump that our doctors kept saying twas an overactive sweat gland. We were later told it was not and got refered to a surgeon who specialises in baby's head surgery. We chose to monitor bcos she has to be put under GA and we couldnt bear to let her undergo such a terrible ordeal... she was abt 5 mths then I think.
How was the lump now ? Subsided yet ?
