The Faithful Guard

We did roller painting on Wednesday. There was only one roller, Phoebe being the older one, knew how to fight for it. She enjoyed herself rolling the motifs onto the paper.

What about Reuben? Reuben was not neglected. He also had an important part to play - The Paint Guard. Look at him, faithfully guarding his plate of red paint. There were a few instances whereby her sister tried to take the yellow plastic plate away from him. He yelled at her while tightly clinching on to the plate. =) Notice that the table was still pretty clean?

I love this picture. Reuben stealing glances at his busy sister. Can you see that his hands never once leave the yellow plastic plate alone? A faithful guard he is! =)

After a while, the faithful guard got bored. He decided to explore the paint too, starting with only one little finger...

and then, more fingers came in. Eventually, it was the whole palm! And some spots on the face too. It was starting to get messy, Reuben tried to clean off the paint by rubbing his hands on the table and floor and any furniture around him!

I had to carry the wriggly guard into the bathroom to wash him clean. He was extremely unwilling, wailing the whole time. I guessed he hasn't had enough fun yet hah. The paint came off very easily, we were using Crayola washable paint for kids. At the end of the session, we had many pieces of roller printing and palm prints. And of course, paint everywhere too.

I haven't thought of what to do with the children's printouts. Any suggestions? =)

Can see the similiar 'disaster zone' when i did painting with xiao ci in the past.
Since father's day is coming, why not make it into a card for their papa and grandpa?

Cut and do collage or use the whole picture, laminate in school and use as table mat. The one wif handprints can b use to teach body parts!

So cute, it must b twice the fun to do painting wif two children!
