From this learning journey, I appreciate the efforts of the government in trying to clean up the Singapore River and to create a vibrant riverside scene. With zero natural resources, looking at the majestic iconic buildings and structures makes me value the attempt of the country to aggrandize our city to enhance tourism. I thank God that we are living in a relatively peaceful country and I pray that this harmony will be enjoyed by our generations to come.

Singapore River Cruise
We got a ticket bundle deal to Alive Museum and Singapore River Cruise. Last Sunday, we decided to use up the SR cruise tickets. God has blessed us with fantastic weather :) Along the cruise, I've explained to the children about the history of Singapore River and the hardship of the coolies, the original function of the godowns and how convenient the geographical position of Singapore was for the ships to sail in for trading. They children did not really understand the part on the trading but they definitely sympathized with the pain and hardship of the coolies. Children have such kind hearts :) the cruise was relaxing and we really enjoyed looking at the beautiful architecture and landscape of Singapore. However, the voyage seemed to be a little long and slow for the impatient children especially when they were both hungry and we had no snacks with us.
