Recently, Phoebe has shown interest in photography. We wouldn't mind letting her play with our new digital camera. Although she has dropped it on the floor once (ouch!), it's all part of learning. She has already learnt how to switch it on and off and view the pictures. Now she's learning how to take pictures. She likes to goof around with the camera, taking candid shots and laughing herself silly with all the funny pictures. When I looked at the pictures, some of them are pretty good! The subjects are, more or less, centralised. Look at them yourself. These pictures are uncensored, uncropped and unedited. Coming from a 2-years-11-months-old child. Impressed? I am :)

I watched on TV abt this Jap toddler who uses a SLR camera to take pic of the monkeys around his hse. His parents encouraged him to take good pic by limiting him 5 pic a week (or month.. i cant remember) ... so dat he will concentrate and compose his pic properly. V good practice for little ones... never underestimate their ability... they can do it.
Xiao Ci also did the same, except that the camera was an old one which we dun use anymore. I think Phoebe will play well with Xiao Ci. They seem to have the same interest.
... so good to have frens of similar interest even at this age...
