P6 Morale Booster Pack

Such a sweet morale booster pack from Ms Sharon Lin, her form teacher. Every item was thoughtfully selected!

A Prayerful Principal

Ms Chua has not been well since the end of Term 1 this year. It's quite a serious condition but it is definitely curable because my parents are survivors. 

Yet, while she was recuperating at home, her thoughts are always with the girls. I'm so touched when Pb came back on Wed and she told me :

Mommy, today Mr Yap (VP) read to the P6 girls a letter written by Ms Chua. She encouraged us to do well for our PSLE. She also said that she is doing fine, getting better. When she was going to go through her operation, she prayed to God and then she started singing worship songs. She sang and sang for 45 mins! 

I was very touched by this Principal. She's so extraordinary. Even at her condition, she still bother to write to the girls, to encourage them to strive for the best and wish them well. 

Pb has been praying for her during her nightly devotion. With all our hearts, We wish her well! We pray that God will continue to watch over her, to protect her, to encourage her, support her and heal her! In her darkest hour, she'll find peace and comfort in God! And through this episode, she will feel and be enveloped in the love of her family, friends and God! In Jesus' most precious name, Amen! 

Prelim EL Oral exam

Pb just had her Prelim oral exam. She did tell me that she was nervous and we prepared by practising a few passages and pictures at home. I told her that it's always important to pray and also pray by yourself because it's YOUR GOD and you own the religion yourself. And she has been praying for herself, her beloved gong gong mama Yiyi and Aunty for their salvation, for her Principal, Ms Chua's recovery and her PSLE preparation and results. In any case people always complain about the vile of PSLE, I believe that some good have come out of it. It has made Pb more conscientious, disciplined and PRAYERFUL coz she knows that she needs God! 

I'm so pleased to receive this text from Pb just now.

 

She took the initiative to pray for herself and for her friends, she also led them in the prayer. I'm sure God is very pleased with her too! Love her v much!

Class Photos for Graduating Classes

Time past so fast. She'll be graduating in a few months' time. As tradition, the girls will receive a memorabilia  and this year, they'll received a special gift too! I'm v thankful and grateful to PL who has nurtured my girl into a young lady. I'm also very thankful to all the trs who have taught her, Mrs Sekar, Mr Benjamin Chong, Mrs Jamie Ong (who has left) and Ms Sharon Lin. They have taught my Daughter good values and have equipped her socially, emotionally and academically. 

As the girls wear their class T-shirts for their graduating shots, I cannot agree more with the text on their shirts:

Let your Faith 

Be bigger than your fear!

How apt it is. 

It is by faith that Pb got into this school. The moment I walked into this school as a Parent Volunteer in 2010, I have experienced the peace. Though history had shown that balloting is inevitable for the PV phase, God has also shown me that His Grace is sufficient for us. And indeed, His plan is made perfect when we are weak. When we need Him, He will show His powers, so our Faith in Him should be bigger than our fears.

In a few months' time, Pb will sit for the national placement exam. By Faith, we already know that she'll have a place in PL Sec. Now, it's just a matter of going through the drills and follow through God's plan in moulding her in discipline, resilience and Faith in Him.

Whatever the results she will get, to God be the glory!

Science Project : Young Newton Award

As a mom, I am gladdened to see little boy so earnest towards his school Science project. He even googled about the plants so that he's certained that the plants are aquatic plants/ flowering plants/ non-flowering plants/ ferns etc. ❤️ He's v determined to earn the Young Newton Badge. I'm so heartened to see him so focused.

Teacher-JieJie

Rb calls his Sister "Teacher-Jiejie" when he encounters a problem in Onsponge. So, Teacher-Jiejie to the rescue, teaching him the topic of Working backwards with unknown. Then, she set a parallel question for him to do to reinforce the concept.
