Our Friends of the Zoo pass has expired. Since the new playground in the zoo is opened, we decided to renew our membership. Though we were left with an hour before the zoo closed at 6 p.m., we went to the new Rainforest KidzWorld to have a look.
It was very well renovated. There's a wild animal carousel ride, pony ride and horse carriage ride which children can take at a small price. The new playground was very spacious and colourful. We were greeted with songs played on the loudspeakers planted amongst the flora and fauna when we stepped into the Kidz World. If you want a better picture, you have to go down and take a look coz I'm too lazy to describe it. Too many things to talk about - the obstacles, the play area for little ones, the wet area for all, the performance area, the outdoor shower area, the Kampong house, the Ben & Jerry Ice cream parlour, the KFC fastfood restaurant, the slings, the family see-saw, water rafts, the farm animal enclosure, the souvenir shop, the animal sculptures etc. I would say that they have done quite a good job.
The only thing that is missing (which Phoebe loves very much) is the SWING! She kept asking me, "Mommy, where's the swing?" She associates playground with swings. Well, maybe I should write an email to feedback to the zoo. Anyway, there's a Nickelodeon Live performance. Anyone of you want to go down together? I think it'll be fun.
